Embark on a life-changing journey with our Christ-centered humanitarian youth trip to the Dominican Republic! We live by the motto "work hard, play hard," ensuring an impactful 50/50 balance between service and adventure. Engage in meaningful service projects like distributing food packs, clothing villages, organizing baseball drives, painting schools or houses, and contributing to street cleanups. But that's not all—we believe in rejuvenating the spirit through thrilling excursions. Enjoy canyoneering through breathtaking waterfalls, surfing with professional lessons, ziplining into stunning cenotes, exploring beautiful beaches, visiting the iconic Christ statue, and snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters surrounding a secluded island. Join us for a transformative experience where service meets exhilarating exploration in the heart of the Dominican Republic!

Service
In the Dominican Republic, our mission goes beyond service—it's about empowering our youth to lead and make a tangible impact. We encourage and support our young participants to take charge and spearhead service projects, leveraging their diverse talents and skills to benefit local communities. With guidance from our experienced leaders, we foster an environment where youth not only contribute but also lead initiatives that create meaningful change. Whether it's through art, education, sports, or innovation, we believe in harnessing their unique abilities to address pressing needs, uplift lives, and foster sustainable development. We aim to cultivate a spirit of leadership and empathy, enabling our youth to be catalysts for positive transformation in the Dominican Republic.
Bring Your Talents
We enourage the youth to look at their talents and see how they can use those talents to bless the lives of those in The Dominican Republic. Whether it's through art, music, sports, or education, their unique abilities enrich our projects, fostering empowerment and creating lasting blessings for the communities we serve.
Excursions & Experiences
While our primary focus revolves around meaningful service, we believe in the importance of balancing work with play during our excursions in the Dominican Republic. Our adventures are as diverse as they are thrilling! From canyoneering through breathtaking waterfalls to catching waves and learning to surf, ziplining into mesmerizing cenotes, exploring stunning beaches, visiting the iconic Christ statue, to snorkeling on a picturesque island amidst the vast ocean—the experiences are boundless. These excursions not only offer exhilarating moments but also allow our youth participants to immerse themselves in the rich culture and natural beauty of the Dominican Republic, creating unforgettable memories that complement our commitment to service and create a well-rounded and fulfilling experience.

Safety
The safety and well-being of our youth participants in the Dominican Republic are our utmost priority. Throughout our stay, we ensure a secure environment by residing in a gated community equipped with vigilant security guards. This community has been our home for several years, providing us with firsthand familiarity and confidence in its safety measures. Our continuous presence and experience in this setting reinforce a sense of comfort and assurance, allowing our youths to immerse themselves fully in both the meaningful humanitarian work and the rich cultural experiences this beautiful country has to offer.

Travel
Our journey to the Dominican Republic commences with flights departing from Salt Lake City. The cost of the flights is factored into the overall trip expenses for departures from Salt Lake City. Our youths will travel with accompanying adult chaperones who will serve as mentors and guides throughout the trip. Upon arrival in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, transportation will be facilitated by two vans driven by our experienced leaders. These vans ensure safe and reliable transportation as we navigate and explore the vibrant landscapes and communities in the Dominican Republic, fostering a seamless and secure travel experience for all involved.

How are Christ-centered life skills taught?
Our program uses a developed life skills program called the Character Education Heroes Series to teach social and emotional learning skills. Participants will learn their natural communication style and principles about the six communication styles and associated skills.

We will also do devotionals daily from scriptures. Families and youth are invited to attend church at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints . The church services will be in Spanish and with the local people. Youth will be invited (optional) to give a morning devotional and debrief nightly with Christ-centered principles.
